As an independent Buffalo Grove, Illinois photographer I can offer you professional photographs personalized to fit your needs. I am able to travel around the Northwest suburbs to capture those special pictures that will enable you to remember those wonderful life moments. 

It is my best intention to make the families comfortable during any picture session. We will go over YOUR expectations for what YOU want out of the pictures.

I began taking pictures in the early 1980's when I attended college at Arizona State University. Many of my early pictures focused on children. Children can be everything from very animated as they run in the yard to serene as they look at a butterfly. I also did a lot of nature photography in the Arizona area. 

After getting married in 1988 I gave birth to three beautiful children. Professional photography took a back seat to motherhood for awhile. My background as a teacher and a lactation consultant has made me very comfortable working with children from birth to the teenage years.

As my children became a bit older I have had more time to focus on my love for photography. This is where you benefit, you get all of my experience at fabulous prices!

There are different trends in photography. I believe in balancing photojournalistic photos with posed pictures. A photojournalistic picture occurs as the events unfold.  The dad hugging his son before his Bar Mitzvah, the Rabbi giving last minute information, the mom fussing over her baby. This is a way to create a story of events.
